Cancellation & Refund Policy for Stacey Renata · The Unedited Life

Reserving your place

Each group has a limited number of places. Your place in a selected group is reserved once your enrolment is confirmed and the agreed deposit or full payment is received. You will be told the group day and time, start date, programme fee, payment schedule and applicable terms before committing.

Programme fees, currency and payment options

Eight-week group experience (founding round): NZD $550, charged in New Zealand dollars for all participants, wherever they are joining from. Standard options are NZD $550 in full, or a NZD $150 deposit followed by four weekly instalments of NZD $100 on dates agreed at enrolment.

Flexible payment arrangements: Stacey understands that everyone’s financial circumstances are different, and wants her programmes to be as accessible as possible. The listed deposits and payment options are standard arrangements. If these do not work for you, please contact Stacey before enrolling to discuss alternative deposit amounts or payment schedules. Any alternative arrangement must be mutually agreed and confirmed in writing before a place is secured. Flexibility around payment timing or deposit amount does not change the total fee or cancellation terms.

Three-month continuation programme (proposed, not yet open for enrolment): the final price, deposit, balance payment schedule, group capacity and programme-specific cancellation conditions will be confirmed before bookings or deposits are accepted. These are planning details, not a current enrolment offer.

All programme prices and payments are in New Zealand dollars (NZD), wherever you live. If you pay from Australia or any other country, the amount shown in your own currency depends on your payment provider’s exchange rate and any conversion or international transaction fees. These fees are not included in the NZD programme fee and are the participant’s responsibility.

Instalments spread the cost of the agreed programme; they are not payments for individual sessions. Financial obligations following cancellation remain subject to the written programme-specific terms and applicable law.

Cancelling before the programme starts

Please tell Stacey in writing as soon as you know you cannot attend. For the eight-week founding round, the standard NZD $150 deposit is normally retained to reflect reserving a limited place, but only where retention is reasonable and lawful. Any agreed alternative deposit or different programme deposit must be considered under its own written enrolment terms and applicable law.

Any additional amounts already paid, and whether any remaining balance is owed, will be assessed fairly by considering notice given, services or preparation already provided, reasonable actual loss or costs, whether the place can be filled, and any applicable legal rights. No amount will be retained or charged as an unlawful penalty.

Withdrawing after the programme starts

Enrolment is for the full programme rather than individual sessions. For the eight-week founding round, the full NZD $550 fee would normally remain the starting contractual commitment, including unpaid instalments. However, any amount retained or charged following withdrawal must be fair, reasonable and lawful in the circumstances. The three-month programme will have separately confirmed terms before enrolment.

Missing a session

Your fee covers the full eight-week experience, not individual sessions. If you miss a session for any reason, including time zone differences, no refund, credit or replacement session is given for it.

Please let Stacey know if you can’t make a session, so the group knows to expect you back.

This does not affect your rights if Stacey cancels a session or does not provide the programme as agreed.

Your group

When you enrol, you join a specific group for the full eight weeks. Groups are not changed once enrolment is confirmed. The people in each group come together for a reason, and what they share and draw out in each other is part of the work.

If Stacey cancels or cannot deliver

If Stacey cancels a group or cannot provide the agreed service, participants will be offered the refund or other remedy required by applicable consumer law, which may include a refund for services not supplied. Stacey may offer an alternative suitable group, but participants are not required to accept a transfer in place of their legal rights.

Exceptional circumstances

If a serious situation, such as illness, bereavement or a family emergency, affects your participation, please contact Stacey as soon as possible. Any individual arrangement is at Stacey’s discretion and must be confirmed in writing. This does not limit your consumer rights.

Removal from a group

If a participant is removed from a group for breaking the respect and confidentiality agreement in the Terms & Conditions, the programme fee is not refunded. This does not limit any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Joining from outside New Zealand and Australia

Stacey’s programmes are designed for people in Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia, but participants from other countries are welcome to join. If you are joining from elsewhere:

  • All fees are charged in NZD, as set out above.

  • Live sessions run on New Zealand time. Please check the time difference before enrolling. A session missed because of a time zone difference is treated the same as any other missed session.

  • This policy applies to you in the same way it applies to all participants.

If you live outside New Zealand or Australia, please contact Stacey before enrolling so you can both be sure the timing works for you.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws, including the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986, and the Australian Consumer Law where applicable. These laws may provide remedies where services are not delivered with required care and skill, are not supplied as agreed, or other statutory requirements are not met. If a term conflicts with a mandatory legal right, that right prevails. If you live outside New Zealand or Australia, mandatory consumer laws in your own country may also apply.
