1. About this policy
Stacey Renata, trading as The Unedited Life, is committed to treating your personal information with care, respect and transparency, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, stored and shared when you visit this website, contact Stacey, subscribe to All of You · Letters from Stacey, enquire about an experience or participate in a programme.
Stacey is based in Aotearoa New Zealand and works with people in New Zealand, Australia and other locations where her services are available. The privacy laws that apply may depend on your location and the circumstances.
2. What information may be collected?
The information collected depends on how you interact with the website and Stacey’s services.
Website enquiries
When you use the contact form or email Stacey, or message Stacey through Facebook or Messenger, you may provide your name, email address and the contents of your message. This information is used to respond to your enquiry and continue the conversation where appropriate.
Please avoid including sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary for your enquiry.

If you subscribe to All of You · Letters from Stacey, your first name and email address will be collected so that Stacey can send you the letters and related communications covered by your subscription.
When you subscribe or register interest, MailerLite may record which page or link you signed up through, so Stacey can understand which content is most helpful.

Your enquiry details will not automatically be added to the newsletter list. You must choose to subscribe separately.

Programme and experience enquiries
If you enquire about the eight-week group experience, private mentoring or another offering, Stacey may collect information needed to respond to you, talk with you about whether the experience is right for you and manage your participation.
If you enrol, additional information may be required to administer your booking, confirm your place, communicate programme arrangements and process payments.
During a programme, you may share personal reflections and experiences. Stacey treats anything shared with her privately as confidential and uses it only to support your participation, unless the law requires otherwise or there is a serious risk to someone’s safety.
Payments
Payments for relevant services are processed through Wix Payments. Payment information is handled through the payment processing system. The information processed may include transaction details and information necessary to administer your payment.
Website usage information
The website and any enabled analytics, security, cookie or tracking tools may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited and interactions with the website.

-
Send newsletter emails when you have subscribed.
-
Provide information about experiences you have asked about.
-
Manage enrolments, payments, programme communications and participant arrangements.

Provide access to relevant online sessions and programme resources.
-
Administer session recordings where applicable and in accordance with the recording arrangements communicated to participants.
-

Stacey will seek to use personal information only for purposes that are lawful and consistent with the reason it was collected, subject to applicable legal requirements.
4. Your information stays with Stacey
Your personal information is never sold, rented or traded, and it is never given to anyone to market to you.
Like most small businesses, Stacey uses a few trusted tools to run her website, emails, payments and programmes. These tools only receive the information they need to do their job:
-
Wix: runs this website and its contact forms.
-
MailerLite: sends the newsletter and programme emails.
-
Wix Payments: processes programme payments securely. Stacey never sees or stores your card details.
-
Zoom: hosts live group sessions and meetings.
-
Facebook and Messenger: host the private participant group and group conversations.
-
Google Analytics: shows how people find and use the website.
-
Meta Pixel: measures how well Stacey’s Facebook advertising is working (see section 9).
Some of these services are based overseas, such as in the United States or Europe, so your information may be stored outside New Zealand and Australia.
The only other time your information would be passed on is if the law requires it.
5. Group experiences and confidentiality
Stacey’s group experiences involve sharing honestly with other participants through Zoom, Facebook and Messenger.
This work is not always comfortable. Growth often happens in the moments you’d rather keep to yourself, and the group is a place to bring those moments into the open. What you share, and when, is always your choice.
Confidentiality is part of what makes the group work. Everyone agrees not to share another participant’s story, name or identifying details outside the group. Stacey holds this agreement firmly, but she cannot guarantee that every participant will keep it.
Private groups are run through Facebook and Messenger. Only group members can see what is shared there, but other participants will be able to see your Facebook name and profile. Your use of Facebook and Messenger is also covered by Meta’s own privacy policy. If you have any concerns about this, talk to Stacey before enrolling.
Stacey will never share a participant’s words, story, name or image publicly, including as a testimonial, without asking first and receiving clear permission.
Recordings
Group sessions are not usually recorded. Teaching sessions may be recorded so participants can return to the material. Occasionally, Stacey may record a session for her own review, to better understand and support the participants in the group.
Stacey will always tell the group before a session is recorded, and ask for agreement. If you’d prefer not to be recorded, you can tell Stacey privately, and you can turn your camera off. Recordings are not shared outside the group, and recordings made for Stacey’s own review are not shared at all.
6. How your information is kept safe
Only Stacey, and anyone who helps her run the website under a confidentiality agreement, can access your information. It is kept within the tools listed in section 4, each of which has its own security protections, and Stacey’s accounts are protected with secure passwords and two-step verification.
Your information is never kept on shared computers, in public folders or anywhere someone else could access it.
No online system can be made completely secure. If your information were ever exposed in a way that could cause you harm, Stacey would let you know as soon as possible, and would notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as New Zealand law requires.
7. How long information is kept
Stacey keeps personal information only for as long as it’s needed:
-
Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe. After that, your email address is kept only on a do-not-send list, so you aren’t added again by mistake.
-
Enquiries: up to 12 months after your last contact, unless you enrol.
-
Programme and payment records: 7 years, as New Zealand tax law requires.
-
Teaching recordings: for the length of the programme.
-
Recordings made for Stacey’s own review: deleted once she has watched them.
When information is no longer needed, it is securely deleted.
8. Your privacy rights
You can ask Stacey at any time to:
-
see the personal information she holds about you
-
correct anything that’s wrong or out of date
-
delete your information, where it no longer needs to be kept
You can also unsubscribe from emails at any time, using the link at the bottom of every email.
To make a request, email hello@staceyrenata.co.nz. Stacey may need to confirm who you are before sharing any information, and will respond within 20 working days. There is no charge for a request.
In some cases the law allows information to be withheld or kept, for example payment records that must be kept for tax purposes. If that applies, Stacey will explain why.
If you’re not happy with how your request or concern is handled, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in New Zealand (privacy.org.nz) or, in Australia, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
9. Cookies and tracking
Cookies are small files that help a website work properly and remember your preferences.
This website uses cookies from Wix, which runs the site, to keep it working smoothly and securely. It also uses Google Analytics to show Stacey general information such as how many people visit, how they found the site and which pages are read. Google handles this information under its own privacy policy.
Meta Pixel
This website uses the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta (Facebook). It helps Stacey understand whether her Facebook and Instagram advertising is reaching the right people, and lets her show relevant ads to people who have visited this website. The Pixel may collect information such as the pages you visit and actions you take on the site. Meta handles this information under its own privacy policy.
Your choices
When you first visit the site, you can choose which cookies to accept. You can also control how Meta uses your information for advertising through your Facebook ad settings, and block or delete cookies through your browser settings.
10. Links to other websites
This website links to other platforms, such as Facebook, Zoom and MailerLite. These have their own privacy policies and terms, which Stacey doesn’t control, so it’s worth reading them before sharing information directly with those services.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the website, Stacey’s services, the way information is handled or applicable legal requirements.
The latest version will be published on this page with its updated date.
If there is a significant change to how your information is handled, Stacey will let current subscribers and participants know by email.
